The Friends of Horsham Park

Who we are

The Friends of Horsham Park is a welcoming group of local volunteers dedicated to protecting and enhancing our cherished green space for everyone to enjoy – today and for generations to come.

What we do

Our enthusiastic and friendly team meets every Wednesday morning, contributing over a thousand hours each year to caring for the park’s gardens and green spaces. Together, we tackle conservation projects that make a real difference to this special corner of our community.

Our achievements

We take great pride in what we’ve accomplished together. Over recent years, we’ve created the peaceful ‘Poet’s Corner’ and established a bee bed complete with bug hotel. We’ve designed engaging tree trails and children’s activities and we’ve planted a memorial tree to mark the Armistice Centenary. We’ve renovated the Park House Sensory Garden and, working alongside the Samaritans, we also planted the Bulbs for Lives Field.

Looking ahead

We will continue to improve the park. We work closely with Horsham District Council to ensure our local community’s voice is heard. Your ideas—big or small—are always welcome. Please email us to let us know what you think.

Get involved

Fancy getting your hands dirty? We’d be delighted to welcome you to our volunteer team.

If time doesn’t allow for hands-on volunteering, you can still support us by signing up for our newsletter – it’s completely free and will keep you updated on everything happening in the park.
