Tree Bark Discovery Trail

Looking for something to do this half term?

Why not come on down to Horsham Park and participate in our all-new, ever-exciting, awesome Tree Bark Discovery Trail?

Tree barks vary tree-mendously from species to species, and there’s loads of interesting things to discover about each. Our Tree Bark Discovery Trail will help you identify each of our fantastic tree types as you take a leisurely stroll around Horsham Park. Take some paper and crayons, if you fancy it, and see what mesmerising patterns you can create by placing the paper against the bark and rubbing the crayon over the page. And keep an eye out for hungry birds having a snack on the bark – tree barks are a valuable source of nutrition to our feathered friends and the insects making their homes inside the wood.
