Nine years after we were founded, it felt like the right time to review our logo and create a new identity that better represents what the Friends of Horsham Park has become.
Our new logo combines two tree shapes to create an H for Horsham, while also resembling two people standing side by side. It reflects the spirit of the park as a shared space and feels simple, striking and contemporary.
We have also created a brand pattern made up of the park’s flora and fauna, including protected species such as stag beetles and hedgehogs, alongside other symbols like paw prints and skateboards that reflect the many different ways people use and enjoy the park. Together, these elements celebrate the unique mix of wildlife, community and everyday life that makes Horsham Park so special. People and nature, side by side.

The new identity was created by freelance creative and illustrator Zoë Dawson, who works across branding, campaigns and illustration for organisations and businesses of all shapes and sizes. Before going freelance, she spent several years working in the social impact and charity sector, creating campaigns and identities designed to bring people together around shared causes and communities.
Zoë has a long-standing soft spot for Horsham Park after going on her second date with her now-husband there – proof, perhaps, that the park has always been good at bringing people together. She still visits regularly for dog walks, and drew inspiration from the mix of nature, wildlife and everyday life that makes the park feel so loved and well-used. The new identity was designed to feel warm, playful and welcoming, while giving the Friends a flexible and modern visual identity for the future. “Our original tree logo served us well but the new identity captures what the Friends are all about: protecting, enhancing and promoting the park for everyone in Horsham to enjoy.
“This year has been a momentous one for the park, after securing Fields in Trust status, meaning it is protected in perpetuity. The Friends campaigned for many years to achieve this and we are grateful to Horsham District Council for securing our wonderful green space as an open and welcoming green space for generations to come.”
– Chair of the Friends of Horsham Park Sally Sanderson
The new identity will start to appear on a range of items this summer, so watch this space and visit our stand at Funday Sunday in the park on the 5th of July.
We hope you love it as much as we do!
